Time to March.
Let’s look back at the chaos that was February.
EA Announced Battlefield Labs Ahead of Alpha Play-Testing

In preparation for their next game, Battlefield Studios is opening a playtest for those who sign up on EA’s website. EA says this is their “most ambitious community development collaboration ever.”
Currently, four studios are working on the next Battlefield: Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive. The four teams are under a new umbrella called Battlefield Studios and are in active collaboration while working on different parts of the game.
The last Battlefield to launch was 2042 in 2021 and since then EA has said it will return the series to its roots and include a single-player campaign again.
The Final Season of Multiversus launched

The final update for Multiversus went live last month. The Warner Brothers platform fighter will not receive any updates after this season, which ends on May 30th of this year.
Although the game will no longer receive updates, the game will be accessible to play in offline modes for the “foreseeable future”. The final season will include Aquaman and Lola Bunny as new characters along with a final 70 level battlepass.
The open beta for the game ran from July 2022 to June 2023 and fully launched on May 28th, 2024. The game won the best fighting game the TGAs in 2022.
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Release Date Leaked

After leaking on the Playstation store last month, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater will release on August 26th of this year.
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is the first release in the series since the dreadful Metal Gear Survive. The remake was first announced in 2023 at the PlayStations May 24th showcase and will be available for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series consoles.
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater will be the first Metal Gear game to use Unreal Engine and will use UE5 after using Kojima’s Fox Engine for previous entries.
Valve Makes Two Small Changes To Steam

Valve has made two small changes to Steam that will affect early-access games and ads in games. For early-access games, Steam will now display a warning for a game that has not been updated in some time.
An exact time frame for when this warning will show up has not formally been announced yet. Valve has also added a page on how ads work in games. The rule has been in effect but now is publicly stated and aims to limit ads that interfere with gameplay.
“Developers should not use paid advertising as a business model in their game, such as…requiring players to engage with advertising in order to play.”
Football Manager Canceled After Multiple Delays

After multiple delays, Football Manager 25 has been canceled by Sports Interactive and efforts have been shifted to the next entry. Football Manager took a rare year off last year after switching game engines.
FM was transitioning from the “Match Engine” to Unity and SI states that the game could’ve come out this year and fixed things down the line, but instead, it will focus on making the next product strong from the start.
The game was last slated for release in March of this year and its previous release “Football Manager 2024” was released on November 6th, 2023.
Blizzard Making Big Changes To Overwatch 2

In last months Overwatch 2 Spotlight, Blizzard has announced they are adding a new character, Freja, to OW2 while making big changes to the overall game by adding character specific perks.
Perks will alter how each character plays by allowing players to change each character each time they play. OW2 is also adding new weapon skins, hero bans, and fan favorite or fan hated depending on who you ask, Lootboxes.
Season 15 is titled Honor and Glory and will be the season all of this new content launches. Season 15 starts on February 18th. In addition to the new content now, a new MOBA like mode called Stadium was shown with plans to add it later this year.
Valve Releases Team Fortress 2 SDK

In a blog post released last month, Valve announced it officially added Team Fortress 2 to the Source Software development kit. This will allow mod-making and developers access to everything TF2 code-wise.
Valve stated: “Unlike the Steam Workshop or local content mods, this SDK gives mod makers the ability to change, extend, or rewrite TF2, making anything from small tweaks to complete conversions possible.”
All mods made, however, must be released for free.
Mods and creations made with this SDK will be allowed to be published on the Steam store and have the option to be their own entries.

Last month our NINJA GAIDEN 2: Black review was published and you can read it here.
We gave the game 2 star out of 3 and recommended it For Some.
Warner Brothers Closes Studios And Cancels Wonder Woman Game

Warner Brothers announced that it will be closing Monolith Productions, Player First Games, and WB San Diego. The in production Wonder Woman game has been canned as well.
Monolith Productions announced in 2021 they were making the Wonder Woman game and their last production to reach market was Middle-earth: Shadow of War in 2017. Multiversus and Suicide Squad were the last two WB Games.
